WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration (ITA) announced that its Global Markets unit has helped secure more than $838 billion in trade and investment wins during the Trump Administration since January 2025, delivering results for American workers and businesses at an extraordinary pace.
This milestone includes $175 billion in U.S. export transactions facilitated by the Department of Commerce, $383 billion in international commercial deals secured by Commerce's Advocacy Center, and $280 billion in foreign direct investment facilitated by SelectUSA. Together, these achievements total more than three times the $270 billion generated over the same period of the Biden Administration.
Under President Trump and Secretary Lutnick, these Global Markets achievements have supported approximately 2.2 million American jobs-expanding opportunities for American workers, helping businesses win overseas, and bringing new investment into communities across the country.
"President Trump is unleashing the might of American industry and opening doors for our companies around the world," said Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick. "These $838 billion in trade and investment results show what his leadership means for American workers: more business, more investment, and more opportunity here at home."
"Under Secretary Lutnick, the International Trade Administration has sharpened its focus on measurable outcomes for American workers and businesses," said Under Secretary of Commerce William Kimmitt. "Our teams are helping American companies win contracts abroad, expand exports, and bring investment home-and these numbers demonstrate the transformational impact of that focus."
