Delta DIPROM Angel Fund Marks 11th Year of Partnership, Awards THB 5 Million to 10 Thai Startups

Bangkok - October 14, 2026 - Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited, a global leader in power management and smart green solutions, in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIPROM) under the Ministry of Industry, has marked the 11th year of the Delta DIPROM Angel Fund by awarding THB 5 million to 10 Thai startups. The 2026 program is expected to generate more than THB 150 million in economic value.

Among the recipients, Riffai Co., Ltd. received the largest grant of THB 1 million for its AI platform, which analyzes satellite images to assess crop health, detect disease risks and forecast yields. Komilo Co., Ltd. received THB 850,000 for its Smart Ear Tag, an AI-powered device that helps farmers monitor dairy cow health, detect illness early and identify the right time for breeding.
Thai Tissue Culture International Co., Ltd. received THB 750,000 for its plant tissue culture technology, which enables growers to produce large numbers of healthy plants in a short time. The remaining seven startups received the balance of the program's total THB 5 million funding.

Mr. Victor Cheng, Chief Executive Officer, Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL., said, "Delta is delighted to provide the 10 outstanding technology-driven SMEs and startups with a total of THB 5 million in funding. Over the past decade, the Angel Fund has become more than a funding program. It gives Thai startups access to industry expertise and the right connections, helping them bring promising ideas to market."
"We see this initiative as an investment in Thailand's future competitiveness. Delta looks forward to working with DIPROM and the Ministry of Industry to create an environment where the next generation of Thai entrepreneurs can succeed," he added. The initiative aligns with the Ministry of Industry's "ONE MIND: One Industry" policy, which promotes technology and innovation to strengthen Thai industry. Mr. Tatpong Sasomsub, Vice Minister for Industry, said, "We want to see startups that not only grow their own businesses but also apply their knowledge and innovation to solve problems, improve productivity and create value for Thai industries. Strengthening our ability to develop homegrown technologies will open up more opportunities for the country's industrial future."

Dr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Industry, added, "Supporting startups does not end with funding. It must also help entrepreneurs establish their businesses, expand their markets and generate revenue. The Ministry of Industry has long followed this approach and will further strengthen links between startups and industry, funding sources and markets to support entrepreneurs at every stage of growth."

Since the program began in 2016, Delta has provided annual funding and industry expertise and hosted the final Pitching Day.

The selection process began with 105 applicants, of whom 30 advanced to business matching. Twenty then tested their solutions with government agencies, private companies and industrial partners through Proof of Concept (PoC) activities lasting at least 60 days, before 10 were selected to receive funding.
Ms. Nattiya Nettayasupa, Director-General of the Department of Industrial Promotion, said, "The program is expected to generate more than THB 150 million in economic value, including THB 5 million in investment to establish or expand businesses, over THB 20 million from creating nearly 100 jobs, more than THB 30 million from reduced technology imports, and over THB 95 million from higher-value products and services and expanded market opportunities."

Building on 11 years of collaboration, Delta and DIPROM aim to create more opportunities for the next generation of Thai entrepreneurs. Through the Delta DIPROM Angel Fund, the partners seek to help homegrown technologies reach wider markets and address emerging industrial and societal needs. Developing these capabilities can help lay the foundations for Thailand's future industries, strengthen its long-term competitiveness and contribute to the country's sustainable growth.
