Illinois REALTORS® Supporting Carpentersville Fire Victims

In response to a recent apartment complex fire, the Illinois REALTORS® Relief Foundation (IRRF) stepped in to help 23 families in the Village of Carpentersville with a $11,500 relief grant. The grant was secured by Illinois REALTORS® Governmental Affairs Director (GAD) Neeley Erickson working with local REALTORS®.

"We are here to connect residents with resources quickly and ensure they aren't facing recovery alone," Erickson said. "We are proud to support our communities when they need it most."

REALTORS® and other community groups who helped the displaced residents from the Meadowdale Apartment fire, were recognized with a proclamation this week at the Carpentersville City Council meeting. Erickson recently represented IRRF during a community outreach and assisted residents with their applications.

For the past 10 years, IRRF has helped qualifying disaster victims with up to $500 in mortgage, rental assistance or unreimbursed losses directly related to the disaster (e.g. insurance deductible, home-related costs not covered by insurance). Learn more about IRRF.
