On February 4, 2026, Executive Secretary-General of the Secretariat of Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries (China-CEEC Cooperation) and Director-General of the Department of European Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Li Jian presided over a briefing in Beijing for CEEC embassies in China. Deputy Secretary-General of the Secretariat and Deputy Director-General of the Department of European Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Cao Lei as well as diplomatic envoys or representatives of CEEC embassies in China attended the briefing. Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Hebei Province Wang Jianfeng attended the briefing and shared information about Hebei Province.
Li Jian reported on the progress in various fields of China-CEEC Cooperation and the action plan for 2026, emphasizing that under the current international situation, the necessity for China and Central and Eastern European countries to cooperate in solidarity and pursue common development has become more prominent. As this year kicks off the 15th Five-Year Plan, China will continue to advance high-quality development, expand high-standard opening up, and work with Central and Eastern European countries to create new prospects for China-CEEC Cooperation.
The diplomatic envoys attending the briefing spoke highly of the practical and innovative development of China-CEEC Cooperation, and expressed their willingness to work with the Chinese side to implement the action plan, promote pragmatic cooperation in various fields, further deepen exchanges and cooperation with Hebei Province as well as other provinces and cities, and ensure that the outcomes of China-CEEC Cooperation better benefit the peoples of both sides.
