Sunday Night Lane Closures on SR 10/US 78/Stone Mountain Fwy for Resurfacing
Expect Traffic Delays
METRO ATLANTA -- Contractors for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will continue activities related to a resurfacing project on State Route 10/US 78/Stone Mountain Freeway from the Interstate 285 (I-285) Interchange to Memorial Drive in DeKalb County. Resurfacing improves the condition of the deteriorating roadway and provides a smoother ride for drivers.
Weather and on-site conditions permitting, one right lane will be closed on SR 10/US 78/Stone Mountain Highway eastbound and westbound between I-285 and Memorial Drive from 9 p.m. on Friday, May 1 until 5 a.m. on Monday. Crews will work in one direction until complete, then switch to the other direction. Lane closures are needed to help ensure safety as crews pave the roadway.
ADVISORY: Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through the work zone during project work hours. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
