CLAY COUNTY, Fla. --- The Clay County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is announcing plans to illuminate county buildings green from November 4-11 as part of Operation Green Light for Veterans, a nationwide effort uniting counties to support military veterans.

The initiative, led by the National Association of Counties (NACo), raises awareness around the unique challenges many veterans face and the resources available at the county, state, and federal levels to help veterans and their families.

Clay County residents, businesses, and community organizations are encouraged to participate in Operation Green Light by changing their lightbulbs to green to let our veterans know they are seen, appreciated, and supported. Here in Clay County, pride for our country and respect for our veterans run deep.

We encourage everyone in our county to join in. Display a green light outside your home or business this week through Veterans Day. When our residents pass one of these green-lit buildings, we encourage them to remember our nation's heroes and the incredible service and sacrifice they have made for our great nation.
