"Morocco is for us a model country and a partner of reference in facing major global economic, security and diplomatic challenges," Rosenkranz said in a press statement at the Austrian Parliament, stressing that Austria considers the Kingdom as "a stable and reliable partner."
"The Kingdom of Morocco is also a global diplomatic player thanks to serious and efficiency-oriented work," he added, praising the "convergence of views between the two countries to contribute, each in its own way, to the international order."
The Austrian official also welcomed the diplomatic and friendly relations between Morocco and Austria, which date back to 1783, noting that this long period has made it possible to build "a close partnership based on mutual esteem and founded on solid grounds."
For his part, MFA Bourita highlighted the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI aimed at opening new prospects for international relations and developing partnerships with reliable countries sharing the same vision based on responsibility and mutual respect, such as Austria.
In this context, he underlined the role of the Austrian National Council in strengthening bilateral relations, recalling the visit paid to Morocco in November 2025 by Rosenkranz, which had a significant impact on the momentum of cooperation between the two countries.
MFA Bourita, who is on a working visit to Austria at the invitation of the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, Beate Meinl-Reisinger, also highlighted the quality of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the fields of security, consular affairs, as well as in the fight against human trafficking networks and organized crime.
He further recalled that relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Austria go back more than 240 years, stressing that this momentum continues steadily and contributes to addressing international challenges in recent years.
