Join the Northern Everglades and Estuaries Protection Program (NEEPP) Workshop

The South Florida Water Management District, Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services are hosting a public workshop to highlight the exciting work underway in the Northern Everglades and provide the public with the opportunity to help shape future planning efforts.

The Northern Everglades and Estuaries Protection Program (NEEPP) continues to advance important projects that support water quality improvements, ecosystem restoration, and the long-term sustainability of the region's communities and working lands. The Northern Everglades watersheds include the Lake Okeechobee watershed and the Caloosahatchee and St. Lucie River watersheds.

Workshop Details
Date: Thursday, April 16, 2026
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Location: District Headquarters - B-1 Auditorium, 3301 Gun Club Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33406
Meeting Format: In-person
During this workshop, there will be an open house session for the public to engage directly with technical experts and agency representatives working on NEEPP initiatives.

The open house will be held during the first 30 minutes of the workshop (9:00-9:30 a.m.). It will be followed by program updates and a public comment period (9:30-11:30 a.m.). During this time, the public will learn about important program milestones and ongoing work across the region. The workshop will conclude with breakout discussions (11:30 a.m-1:00 p.m.). These small group discussions will focus on future projects and activities to advance NEEPP implementation.
