Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yue Xiaoyong Visits Afghanistan and Qatar
From May 10 to 16, 2026, Special Envoy on Afghan Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Yue Xiaoyong visited Afghanistan and Qatar. During his stay in Afghanistan, Yue Xiaoyong held separate meetings with Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi and Senior Adviser to Interior Minister Anas Haqqani, and exchanged views on China-Afghanistan relations as well as relevant international and regional issues. In Qatar, he met with Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khulaifi, and exchanged views on issues of mutual concern.
