On Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 3:11 a.m., Portland Police Officers assigned to East Precinct responded to a call of a shooting in the 14700 block of Southeast Stark Street. When they arrived they found an adult male victim with injuries. Portland Fire & Rescue and AMR responded to treat the patient, and the man was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Despite extensive lifesaving efforts, the man died at the hospital.
The suspect or suspects left the scene and no immediate arrests were made.
The Portland Police Detective Division Homicide Unit responded to the scene to investigate the case. During the investigation, Southeast Stark Street is closed between Southeast 146th Avenue and Southeast 148th Avenue.
