College of Education to host literacy summit

The College of Education is hosting the Literacy and Leadership Summit Sept. 25-26 in The Space, located in the Albertsons Library. The event will bring nationally recognized literacy scholars to campus to share their expertise and collaborate with area school administrators.

The summit is part of the College of Education's commitment to improve literacy outcomes for Idaho's Pre-K-12 learners by partnering with districts to provide support and professional development for educators.

Summit participants will have the opportunity to workshop around topics of leadership, systems thinking and literacy foundations. The summit aims to provide evidence-based approaches educators can implement to support comprehensive literacy learning for all students.
