TowerBrook Capital Partners Invests in GMC Group

Fried Frank advised investment management firm TowerBrook Capital Partners (TowerBrook) on its agreement to invest in GMC Group, one of Ireland's leading civil and mechanical engineering firms. This investment comes at a time of significant growth and expansion at GMC Group and will help the company continue to secure and deliver large-scale public and private sector infrastructure projects across Ireland's utilities landscape. Led by M&A and private equity partners Christian Iwasko and Michelle Tong, the Fried Frank team continues to advise TowerBrook on its investments and other transactions. Most recently, the firm advised the transatlantic investment management firm on its agreement to sell AustroCel Hallein to Oji Holdings Corporation. Additional work includes advising TowerBrook on its majority equity investment in JSM Group Services Ltd. and its acquisition of the IDAK Food Group, which in turn resulted in IDAK Food Group's acquisition of Sorrento Sapori e Tradizioni, a pizza snack company based in Eboli, Italy.
