Spring in the Valley: As campus quiets down, the ravines are bursting with life again

On the Valley Campus, the summer poses a stark contrast to the academic year. Rather than the constant hustle-and-bustle of students, faculty, staff and visitors, there is a quiet, serene energy to campus once many students have left for their summer break.

As parts of campus wind down, other parts are just beginning to come back to life - including the ravines, which are nestled between the Valley Campus and the Grand River.

Even though the campus has transitioned to summer break, the campus is just hitting the heights of spring before it transitions to summer. A walk around campus reveals colorful blooms on trees while our favorite campus critters begin to make more frequent appearances once again: Mallards by Zumberge Pond, White-tailed deer in the ravines and many more.
