Mayor Terry Appoints Gabrielle Miller as Community Affairs & Special Projects Director

EVANSVILLE, Ind.- August 4, 2026 - Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry today announced the appointment of Gabrielle Miller as Community Affairs & Special Projects Director.

Miller will lead community engagement efforts for the Mayor's Office, serving as a key liaison to neighborhood associations, nonprofits, and other community stakeholders. She will also gather resident feedback, support communications efforts and events, and develop programs that respond to community needs.

Miller brings more than a decade of experience spanning the healthcare, wellness, and education sectors. She earned a Bachelor of Science in International Community Development with specialization in Public and Global Health from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master of Arts in Global Development and Social Justice from Multnomah University.

Most recently, Miller served as an Adjunct Professor at Ivy Tech, where she taught courses in Human Services and Criminal Justice. She previously worked as an educator with the Warrick and Evansville Vanderburgh County School Corporations, supporting underserved communities through the development of youth programs designed to address academic and behavioral needs.

In addition to her professional roles, Miller has supported various cross-cultural and interfaith initiatives around the world. Her intercultural experience includes teaching English at ClubAnglais in Tunisia, North Africa, serving with the J.D. Sheth Foundation, where she aided in the construction and implementation of a mental health clinic in Costa Rica, and supporting ministry and community outreach efforts abroad through Christian Fellowship Church, Agape Life Church, God's House, and other international ministry partners.
