Press release 4/2026
27 February 2026
President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb will visit Vantaa on Tuesday 3 February 2026.
The day will begin at Lehtikuusen koulu, a comprehensive school with approximately 1,000 students in Hakunila. At the school, the presidential couple will meet with pupils and watch performances prepared and presented by them.
The programme will continue at the new campus of Vantaa Vocational College Varia, providing education in fields such as aviation, logistics, and social and health care. There, President Stubb and Mrs Innes-Stubb will receive an introduction to the college's aircraft maintenance and logistics programmes.
Next, there will be a visit to Sensofusion, a technology company developing drone-detection systems and airspace-security solutions for use by authorities and businesses. Sensofusion was granted the Internationalisation Award of the President of the Republic as the newcomer company of the year in 2025.
The final visit of the day will take place at the Finnish Red Cross Blood Service Centre in Vehkala, where the President and his spouse will learn about the organisation's international aid activities and the production of blood products.
To conclude the day, the presidential couple will meet Vantaa residents at a public event at the Jumbo shopping centre at 16.45.
