Grand Portage National Monument Seasonal Hours for Heritage Center and Historic Depot Beginning October 13, 2026

Grand Portage, MN - Beginning Tuesday, October 13, 2026, Grand Portage National Monument will transition to its fall hours. The Heritage Center will be open daily from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The Historic Depot will close for the season on this date.

On October 25, 2026, the Monument will transition to winter hours. During this period, the Heritage Center will be open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and will be closed on Sundays. Grand Portage National Monument is a fee-free site co-managed with the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. The Monument was established to preserve a vital center of the historic fur trade and Anishinaabeg Ojibwe heritage.
