Death Investigation Underway on Pico Boulevard

SANTA MONICA, Calif. - On September 26, 2026, Santa Monica Police Department officers responded to a residence in the 3100 block of Pico Boulevard to conduct a welfare check.
Officers entered the residence and located two deceased adults, one male and one female.
SMPD detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding both deaths. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner will determine the official causes and manners of death and confirm the identities of the deceased.
The investigation remains ongoing. Additional confirmed information will be released as it becomes available.
