Congressman Cohen Seeks Flags to be Lowered to Half Staff for U.S Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom

MEMPHIS - Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) was saddened by the death of 20-year-old U.S. Army Specialist Sarah Becksrtom, serving in Washington, D.C., in the West Virginia National Guard, and made the following statement:

"I express my profound sadness at the death of Sarah Beckstrom. She gave much of her life to her state and public service and wanted to serve her country as an FBI agent. I am asking President Trump to have flags lowered to half staff in her honor. Being that she was on duty so close to the White House and on a mission authorized by President Trump, as a West Virginia National Guard officer, it seems appropriate that she be honored in this way in her memory."
