Air pollution affects almost every aspect of our daily lives, from the air we breathe and the transport we use, to the products we buy and the environments where we live and work. Every day, consumers make choices that are shaped by the quality of the air around them - yet too often they lack the information, influence and support needed to drive change.
Despite growing recognition of its health and environmental impacts, the role of consumer organisations in driving cleaner markets and encouraging business action has remained largely untapped.
To address this, nine of our Members have been selected to receive funding through the Consumers for Clean Air Fund, a new grant launched in partnership with Clean Air Fund.
Through this initiative, consumer organisations from across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Pacific will deliver locally led campaigns that empower consumers, engage businesses and policymakers, and promote practical solutions for cleaner air.
