WASHINGTON-Today, Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.) recognized Ezra Foote for completing a summer internship in his Paducah, Kentucky District office. During his internship, Ezra learned about city and county government operations, met and spoke with 1st Congressional District constituents, and assisted Congressman Comer's Field Representatives to ensure local issues were addressed.<_o3a_p>

"In my Paducah Office, Ezra was a tremendous asset, and I want to thank him for his service to the 1st Congressional District. His work this summer was critical in helping me and my staff address concerns from constituents across Western Kentucky. Ezra has a bright future ahead of him and I look forward to seeing his continued success," Congressman Comer said.

Ezra Foote, a Calloway County native, is a freshman at the University of Louisville studying Political Science. <_o3a_p>

"During my internship, I learned how congressional offices collaborate with constituents and federal agencies to address local issues. I gained a deeper understanding of local government, particularly the vital role grants play in supporting community development," said Mr. Foote.<_o3a_p>
In Congressman Comer's District offices, interns may be asked to do a variety of things, including day-to-day office work such as answering phones, writing letters and assisting with media clips. In addition, interns may be assigned to assist in various constituent case work or work on District-based projects of importance.<_o3a_p>
