New Exhibition, Elevations and Extensions, Opening At The Lancaster Museum Of Art & History

Lancaster, CA. September 25, 2025 -- The Lancaster Museum of Art & History (MOAH) is pleased to announce their latest exhibition, Elevations and Extensions, a solo exhibition by Luciana Abait. Elevations and Extensions will be on view from Saturday, September 27 through Sunday, January 3. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, September 27 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Elevations and Extensions explores the impact of environmental instability on the natural world. Informed by her transnational background, Abait's multimedia practice examines the intersection of climate change and immigration, highlighting the unique ways in which global warming impacts marginalized communities. Abait's photographic collages capture vulnerable natural phenomena and inspire hope and care when it comes to protecting and preserving these landscapes.

Elevations and Extensions is part of MOAH's exhibition season Blue Grass, Green Skies, which will feature the traveling exhibition Blue Grass, Green Skies: American Impressionism and Realism from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and Strange Pathways, a group exhibition curated by Thinkspace Projects, featuring work by artists Mark Jeffrey Santos, Stephanie Buer, Eli McMullen, and more.
