The Lincoln Police Department today released results of two special enforcement initiatives conducted this fall focused on enhancing public safety during periods of increased visitor traffic.
Officers worked overtime to provide increased staffing in areas with large crowds during University of Nebraska-Lincoln home football game days. A second initiative focused on traffic safety issues associated with out-of-town visitors attending other fall sporting events throughout the season.
These efforts were made possible through funding provided by our partners at the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office.
