HONOLULU - The Hawaiʻi Department of Agriculture and Biosecurity (DAB) announced the first 333 awards for Emergency Farmer Relief grants. Individuals who received award notification have 48 hours to claim the grant and provide necessary paperwork.

DAB received over 1,600 eligible applications for Emergency Farmer Relief grants and is actively pursuing more funding for priority applications. Applications to the Emergency Farmer Relief program will continue to be accepted through Friday, April 3, 2026. If you have already applied to the Emergency Farmer Relief program, you are discouraged from submitting another application as this will change your prioritized status. Any additional awarding of Emergency Farmer Relief grants is subject to funding.

The Emergency Farmer Relief program is for farmers and ranchers impacted by the recent storm systems - Kona Low 1 and Kona Low 2. Farms, ranches, and agricultural businesses can apply to receive a one-time grant of $1,500.00 to address immediate needs resulting from the storm.

The Emergency Farmer Relief application can be found on DAB's website at https://dab.hawaii.gov/emergencyfarmerrelief/ Questions on the program or application should be directed to [email protected].
