OMAHA - On Wednesday, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) participated in a fireside chat at Tech Nebraska's 2026 Summit. Ricketts joined Tech Nebraska Executive Director Emily Allen for a conversation focused on the growing role of technology in Nebraska's economy and beyond.
Local leaders in business, healthcare, public policy, and manufacturing attended the summit. The theme this year, "What We Build Next," highlights Nebraska's opportunity to become a national leader in the technology economy.
"Here in Nebraska, we have the people, the resources, and the grit to lead innovation in America and on the global stage," said Ricketts.
"What makes Nebraska so great is the people. People are at the heart of what we do. Companies choosing to invest in Nebraska are investing in a skilled workforce and excellent educational institutions. These strengths create opportunities for our businesses and communities to succeed.
"Nebraska is helping shape the future of technology through work happening across our state right now. If we continue to use technology as a tool that keeps people centered, we will only make the Good Life stronger."
