LOCAL NEWS | JTC Team Volunteers at Bernie's Book Bank

Staff from our Janney Technical Center (JTC) in Northbrook, Illinois, recently volunteered at Bernie's Book Bank, stickering, sorting, and bagging books for delivery to children in need.

The books will be distributed to schools where at least 40 percent of students qualify for free and reduced-cost lunch, schools with Title I status, and organizations serving children from birth through age six.

Participants gained a deeper understanding of how access to books can shape children's lives and were happy to work together in support of children's literacy efforts.

Bernie's Book Bank works to improve children's lives through book ownership by sourcing, processing, and distributing free, high-quality books to children who need them most.
