Early Morning Fire Displaces Six Residents at Pompano Beach Quadruplex

Pompano Beach Fire Rescue responded to a residential fire at a quadruplex located at 345 NW 5 Street at approximately 3:15 a.m. this morning. Fourteen adults were inside the building's four units when the fire broke out.

One adult male suffered a laceration after jumping from a window to escape the flames, while another individual experienced a seizure. Both patients were transported to Broward Health North for treatment. The remaining 12 residents escaped without injury.

Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze. Units one and two of the quadruplex were deemed uninhabitable, displacing six residents. The American Red Cross is providing temporary housing to those affected. Units three and four remain habitable.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by Pompano Beach Fire Investigators, the Florida State Fire Marshal's Office, and the Broward Sheriff's Office.
