The Costume Comeback Gives Halloween Costumes a Second Life

The City of Greensboro's Office of Sustainability & Resilience is collecting gently used Halloween costumes and accessories for The Costume Comeback, a free, sustainable program that aims to help reduce waste while making Halloween more affordable for Greensboro families.

Residents can donate gently used Halloween costumes, masks, capes, and other accessories at the City's recreation centers and other participating drop-off locations throughout Greensboro. Donations collected will be offered free to residents during The Costume Comeback shop in early-October.

Halloween costumes are often worn only once before being packed away or discarded. By giving costumes and accessories a second life, The Costume Comeback keeps reusable items out of the landfill while helping families celebrate Halloween at little or no cost.
