Conference “Croatia and the OECD: Economic Survey 2026” Held

OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann visited Zagreb on the occasion of the presentation of the second OECD Economic Survey of Croatia. To mark the event, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Finance organised a conference titled "Croatia and the OECD: Economic Survey 2026."

The conference was opened with introductory remarks by the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Chief Negotiator for the Accession of the Republic of Croatia to the OECD, Gordan Grlić Radman; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Tomislav Ćorić; and OECD Secretary-General Mathias Cormann.

Ministers Grlić Radman and Ćorić, together with Secretary-General Cormann, highlighted that the OECD has recognised the strong performance of the Croatian economy despite successive external crises and adverse circumstances, as well as the numerous reforms that the Government of the Republic of Croatia continues to implement with determination.

The opening remarks were followed by a panel discussion entitled "Accession to the OECD - A Business Perspective," moderated by the State Secretary for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and Deputy Chief Negotiator for Croatia's OECD accession, Zdenko Lucić. The panel participants included the Minister of Economy Ante Šušnjar; Governor of the Croatian National Bank Boris Vujčić; President of the Management Board of Končar Gordan Kolak; Vice President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy Tomislav Radoš; Rector of Algebra Bernays University and President of the Croatian Employers' Association Mislav Balković; and Secretary of the Union of Autonomous Trade Unions of Croatia, Boris Feis.
