The 42 EUROCONTROL Member States have elected Karin Puleo-Leodolter, Director General of Civil Aviation of Austria, as the President of the Provisional Council (PC), one of EUROCONTROL's two governing bodies.
A highly respected aviation expert with more than 30 years of experience, Karin Puleo-Leodolter is taking up her two-year term of office at a pivotal time for European air traffic management. The first woman to be elected as PC President, she brings outstanding expertise in strategic aviation policymaking at the national, European, and international levels. As Austria's Director General of Civil Aviation, she has led the development and coordination of national positions on a broad spectrum of aviation issues, including environment, air transport negotiations, and drones.
Karin Puleo-Leodolter succeeds Johann Friedrich Colsman of the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure who was PC President from 2022.
