Upcoming Case Assignment Changes for Gainesville and Newnan Divisions

Beginning in December, there will be changes to assignment of new cases in the Gainesville and Newnan divisions as indicated below. Additional information about case reassignments will be provided in a separate announcement in December. Certain cases may be assigned or reassigned prior to December with notice to parties in the case.

Newnan Division

Cases will be assigned to the Honorable Lisa Ritchey Craig and the Honorable Sage M. Sigler. Melissa J. Davey will remain the Chapter 13 Trustee for chapter 13 cases filed in Newnan.

Gainesville Division

Cases will be assigned to the Honorable Paul M. Baisier and the Honorable Jeffery W. Cavender. Nancy J. Whaley will remain the Chapter 13 Trustee for chapter 13 cases filed in Gainesville.

Additionally, hearings in the Gainesville Division held after December 15 will be held in person, unless the court orders otherwise. Further information will be posted to the Court's website in the coming months about available hearing dates, calendar procedures, and the proper form of notice to use when scheduling Gainesville hearings that will occur after December 15, 2026.
