MPO Transportation Policy Committee meeting scheduled for Nov. 20
The Tyler Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Transportation Policy Committee will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. at the Tyler Development Center, Large Conference Room, 423 W. Ferguson Street.
The Transportation Policy Committee will consider the following items:
- Consider approving the Light Rail Study report developed by Kimley-Horn and Associates
- Consider approving the 2025 Title VI Plan developed by the MPO staff

The Tyler Area MPO coordinates transportation planning for the greater Smith County area. The MPO is guided by a Transportation Policy Committee that includes representatives from Smith County, Tyler, surrounding cities, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), and the Northeast Texas Regional Mobility Authority (NET RMA).
This notice of public involvement satisfies the Federal Transit Administration's requirements for project programming.
