Reba McEntire said Grammy-winning artist Brandy Clark always "touches my heart."
McEntire, 71, released her newest 5-track collection, Tourist, on Friday (August 21). The EP features songs co-written by Clark, who was named one of The New York Times' 30 Greatest Living American Songwriters, states a press release issued Friday morning. The release notes that McEntire's EP arrives months after she and Clark shared the stage, along with Lukas Nelson, at the 68th Grammy Awards. They performed a moving rendition of "Trailblazer" for the In Memoriam tribute. McEntire released the collaboration with Miranda Lambert and Lainey Wilson after delivering the debut performance at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Lambert and Wilson wrote the song with Clark.
"Every song I've recorded of Brandy's, pretty much every song I've listened to that she sent to me, touches my heart," McEntire told Billboard. "She's one of my favorite songwriters of all time."
