Lane closures on WB and EB Independence Ave in Jackson County, Nov. 9 - December 2026

JACKSON COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation will conduct lane closures on westbound and eastbound I-35 for pavement work. All work is weather permitting. See below for traffic modifications:

Wednesday, November 9 until late December 2026

• Crews will conduct lane closures on WB Independence Ave at Troost Ave/I-35 SB on-ramp.
• Crews will conduct lane closures on EB Independence Ave at I-35 NB off-ramp.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
