One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

Calaveras County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place to perform construction and maintenance activities on State Routes 12 (SR-12), 26, and 49 in Calaveras County next week.

State Route 12

  • One-way traffic control takes place from Chestnut Street to Lime Creek Road for highway construction work beginning Sunday, May 3, 2026, through Friday, May 8, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place at North Fork Calaveras River Bridge for shoulder work beginning Monday, May 4, 2026, through Friday, May 8, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

State Route 26

  • One-way traffic control takes place at Main Street for tree work on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place from Rich Gulch Lane to Flat Gulch Lane for utility work on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place at Humbug Creek Road for tree work on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control takes place from South Bret Harte/Sam's Way to Copello Drive for drainage work beginning Sunday, May 3, 2026, through Friday, May 8, 2026, from 9:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place from Main Street to Stockton Hill Road for tree work beginning Wednesday, May 6, 2026, through Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
