Secretary-General of ASEAN to participate in the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on the Current Situation between Cambodia and Thailand in Kuala Lumpur

At the invitation of The Honourable Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, Chair of ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting 2025 and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will participate in the Special ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (SAMM) on the Current Situation between Cambodia and Thailand, to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on 22 December 2025.

The Meeting, convened under the Chairmanship of Malaysia, will provide an opportunity for ASEAN Foreign Ministers to exchange views on recent developments along the Cambodia-Thailand border and to reaffirm ASEAN's collective commitment to peace, stability, and the peaceful settlement of disputes through diplomacy and dialogue, in accordance with the ASEAN Charter and the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.
