At its meeting, the Governing Council of the Bulgarian National Bank adopted a decision to comply with the Guidelines on supervisory independence of competent authorities under Directive 2013/36/EU (EBA/GL/2026/04), issued by the European Banking Authority and published on its official website, which will apply from 24.08.2026.
The Guidelines were issued pursuant to Article 4a, para. 9 of Directive 2013/36/EU and Article 16 of Regulation (EU) No 1093/2010.
