Rep. Carl Gilliard to Host Bridge Dedication Ceremony in Honor of Huxsie Scott
ATLANTA - State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah) will host a bridge dedication ceremony to honor Huxsie Scott on Monday, October 5, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Howard Jordan Building at Savannah State University in Savannah, Ga.
During the 2026 legislative session, Rep. Gilliard sponsored House Resolution 1672 which dedicates a bridge on State Route 204 over the CSX railroad in Chatham County as the Huxsie Scott Bridge.
