Conservative mayor leads Croydon Council with no overall majority

Croydon Council has recorded no overall party majority in the 2026 local councillor elections.

The results of Croydon's mayoral election were announced yesterday (Friday, 8 May), with Executive Mayor Jason Perry (CON) winning a second term as Croydon's directly-elected mayor.

Following local ward counts today (Saturday, 9 May), Croydon Council is now made up of the following councillors:

  • 28 Conservatives
  • 8 Greens
  • 30 Labour
  • 2 Liberal Democrats
  • 2 Reform

Voter turnout was 41.02%.

This means a total 286,933 people voted in Croydon's elections, making it one of the largest local election counts in London.
