The Financial Literacy Pulse Check is a voluntary new initiative from Director General Compensation and Benefits (DGCB) to help them better understand the financial wellbeing, confidence, and learning preferences of Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members.

CAF members often face unique financial pressures linked to deployments, relocations, family separation, and other circumstances of military service. These stressors can affect the health and readiness of CAF members. Understanding these stressors enables the CAF to deliver the right tools and support when members need them most.

The Financial Literacy Pulse Check is being delivered through a confidential questionnaire. All responses are anonymous. The questionnaire is based on the Financial Wellness in the Workplace program by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, and will cover financial habits, confidence levels, knowledge gaps, and preferred learning methods.

By participating, CAF members will help shape financial learning tools and education that reflect real CAF experiences, reduce financial stress, and strengthen personal and operational readiness.

The questionnaire is completed online via MS Forms, available until February 16, 2026, to CAF members who have access to ECN accounts. Complete the questionnaire today.
