Fort Worth community centers are preparing a ghoulishly good time for kids, families and seniors this fall. There are plenty of tricks and treats in store, from haunted houses to costume contests and carnival games.
All fall festivals are safe and family-friendly. Find a list of activities online.

If you're looking for more of a walk on the wild side this Halloween, stop by the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, 4600 Broadview Drive, for the annual Trails & Treats event from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18.
The event is free with paid Nature Center admission.
In addition to hayrides and canoeing ($5 additional charge for each activity), Trails & Treats will offer guided hikes, face painting, creepy-crawly exhibits, a costume contest and more.

Log Cabin Village is hosting Murder at the Village from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26. Cost is $30.
Try your hand at playing detective by evaluating the evidence and interviewing suspects to nab the killer. Due to the nature of the evidence presented, this event is for those 16 years and older. An adult must accompany those under 18 at all times.
