October 5, 2026

Dentons Cárdenas & Cárdenas continues to strengthen its Litigation, Arbitration and Insolvency Practice with the addition of Carlos Miranda, a lawyer with more than 13 years of experience in dispute resolution, commercial and investment arbitration, as well as insolvency and corporate restructuring proceedings. His arrival enhances the firm's ability to advise and represent domestic and international clients in complex, high-stakes matters. It also supports the continued growth of a practice that has achieved outstanding results in recent years, including its advancement from Band 5 to Band 3 in Chambers & Partners Latin America 2027 for both Dispute Resolution: Arbitration and Dispute Resolution: Civil & Commercial Litigation.

Throughout his career, Carlos has represented clients in complex domestic litigation and in national and international arbitration proceedings administered under the rules of institutions such as the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR), and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce. He also served as Assistant Legal Counsel at the International Bureau of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, where he supported arbitral tribunals in investment and international commercial arbitration proceedings.

His experience also includes advising and representing clients in domestic and cross-border restructuring and insolvency proceedings, assisting creditors, investors, and facing financial distress and corporate restructuring processes. He has also advised on matters across a broad range of industries, including mining, telecommunications, construction, infrastructure, services, and financial institutions.

Carlos holds an LL.M. in International Business Regulation, Litigation and Arbitration from New York University (NYU) and a Master's degree in Procedural Law from the National University of Colombia, where he has also served as a professor of Arbitration and Contract Law.

With this addition, Dentons Cárdenas & Cárdenas further strengthens its capabilities in dispute resolution, arbitration, and insolvency, combining local experience with global reach to help clients navigate the most complex legal challenges facing their businesses.
