SGV KI hosts inaugural Luzon Economic Corridor Leadership and Governance Dialogue

The SGV Knowledge Institute, in partnership with Aguhon Movement for Governance, Inc., hosted the inaugural Luzon Economic Corridor Leadership and Governance Dialogue, held on 6 August 2026 at the Bayanihan Room, SGV 1 Building in Makati City. The executive roundtable focused on "Enabling Competitiveness Through Seamless Airport Cargo Coordination."

The dialogue brought together representatives from government, business chambers, logistics, manufacturing, technology, development partners and industry associations to discuss how improved coordination in airport cargo operations can help unlock the full potential of the Luzon Economic Corridor.

The session featured Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Deputy Director General Vivian Santos, who discussed how integrated economic zones within the Luzon Economic Corridor are helping drive supply chain resilience, logistics innovation and sustainable development, positioning the Philippines as a regional investment and technology hub.

The session was facilitated by Ecosystems and Knowledge Leader Christian G. Lauron and attended by Government & Infrastructure (G&I) and Economic Research Leader Marie Stephanie Tan-Hamed along with Senior Managers Ruben Simon Jr. and Atty. Monico Galicia, and Managers Eileen Yu, Gale Valeriano and Jillian Villamayor.

As the Luzon Economic Corridor continues to gain momentum, the inaugural dialogue highlighted the need for sustained collaboration among public and private-sector stakeholders to help address logistics bottlenecks, enhance competitiveness and support inclusive and sustainable economic growth. It also marked the first of a planned series of dialogues that will bring together key stakeholders on priority areas critical to advancing the corridor's development.
