A representative of the Securities Commission of the Republic of Serbia, Uroš Popović, participated in the conference "Digital Assets as a Subject of Enforcement", held on 8 May 2026 in the amphitheater of the National Bank of Serbia.

Within Panel I, "Regulatory Framework for Digital Assets and Challenges in Practice", dedicated to the implementation of regulations, the future development of the regulatory framework, and alignment with European standards, the Special Advisor to the President of the Commission spoke about practical experiences in the implementation of the Law on Digital Assets, market development through white papers and digital asset service providers, as well as the potential for integrating digital assets with the capital market under real market conditions.

Particular emphasis was placed on the importance and further development of financial literacy, legal understanding, and the improvement of market infrastructure as prerequisites for the sustainable development of the digital asset market in the Republic of Serbia.
