Participation in Festive Celebrations Dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of State Independence in Khujand

On the evening of September 23, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, participated and delivered a speech at a ceremonial event in the city of Khujand, Sughd Province, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of State Independence.
President Emomali Rahmon congratulated all participants and guests of the festive cultural evening on the 35th anniversary of State Independence.

It was emphasized that independence and freedom are the most precious blessings, the greatest achievements, and the best symbols of the existence of the Tajik nation. Thanks to this invaluable blessing, we have gained a free and prosperous homeland and our own national statehood, revived the ancient traditions and customs of our ancestors and our national values, and secured a worthy place for our beloved Tajikistan on the world stage.

President Emomali Rahmon noted that during the 35 years of independence, major development and improvement projects have been implemented throughout the country, including in Sughd Province. Over the past five years alone, during preparations for the 35th anniversary of State Independence, 15,400 social and industrial facilities have been constructed, renovated, and commissioned in the cities and districts of the province-3,400 more facilities than originally planned.

Referring to state support, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, stated that over the 35 years of independence, the Government of the country has taken all necessary measures to promote the development of various sectors of the province's economy, address social challenges faced by the population, and improve the standard and quality of living.

"The development of light industry, the fuel and energy complex, mineral extraction and processing, metallurgy, and the production of construction materials in the province is now contributing to the sustainable development of the national economy," President Emomali Rahmon stated.

The President also highlighted the implementation of major road and transport projects, including the construction of the vital Istiqlol and Shahriston tunnels and the reconstruction of the Dushanbe-Chanak and Ayni-Panjakent highways, describing them as important steps toward overcoming the country's transportation isolation.

It was noted that, in today's complex global environment, protecting the achievements of State Independence, strengthening stability and national unity, and ensuring the country's security require a high level of responsibility and continuous efforts from every patriotic citizen, particularly young people.

"I believe in the strong sense of national pride and patriotism of the honorable and hardworking people of Sughd Province, and I am fully confident that, through our sincere and dedicated work together, we will make our beloved Tajikistan even more prosperous, beautiful, strong, and developed," Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, stated.

Following the speech by President Emomali Rahmon, a colorful concert program featuring leading artists from across the country and performers from Sughd Province was held at the venue.

The organizers of the program presented songs, music, and captivating dances that portrayed the achievements of the period of independence, the role of the Leader of the Nation in ensuring peace and stability, bringing the people together, transforming Tajikistan into a united country, and the global initiatives of the country's leader aimed at addressing pressing issues facing the world. These themes were presented through an attractive and artistic visual design.

Using the works of renowned poets and prominent composers, the performers presented songs dedicated to the Motherland, Independence, Unity, and other national values, adding grandeur and a festive atmosphere to the celebration.
