BLACK ROAD LANE CLOSURES EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 29, 2025Post Date:09/25/2025 2:32 PM For Immediate Release Contact September 25, 2025 City of Joliet: 815-724-4000 BLACK ROAD LANE CLOSURES EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 29, 2025 Joliet, IL - As part of manhole rehabilitation efforts, the City of Joliet must re-construct and repair manholes along Black Road between Catherine Street and N. Prairie Avenue. To complete this work, the traffic pattern along Black Road must be modified. Traffic on Black Road between Catherine Street and N. Prairie Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction. This temporary traffic measure will be in place beginning September 29th and be completed by October 8th. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternative routes for the duration of the work. We appreciate your patience and ask that you drive slowly and cautiously through any construction zone.
