Statement by Palazzo Chigi on Government notification to China National Tire and Rubber Corp. (CNRC)
On 26 September 2025, the Government notified China National Tire and Rubber Corp. (CNRC) of the order to close the administrative proceedings regarding the events and conduct in the period between the date when the Decree was issued (16 June 2023) and the date when the sanctioning proceeding began (31 October 2024), deeming that these did not compromise Pirelli's management independence.
The Government is maintaining ongoing and constructive dialogue with the company and its shareholders with a view to adapting its instruments, in a timely manner, to the new regulatory requirements in its reference markets, and ensuring it is fully competitive in all the areas in which it operates.
