ICYMI: DNC Launches New Organizing Blitz in California and Alabama to Mobilize Voters and Fight Back Against Republicans Arrow

The DNC is organizing everywhere to ensure every voter in every community knows the stakes of upcoming elections - and last week was no exception.

Last week, the DNC announced new organizing blitzes in California and Alabama to mobilize voters to win elections and ensure Republicans are held accountable for rubber-stamping Trump's billionaire-first agenda that is raising costs for hardworking families, from groceries and gas to child care and health care.

In California, the DNC is deploying our 41,000 volunteer base to take part in our bilingual organizing push to support Proposition 50 and fight back against Trump and Republicans' rigged Congressional maps. In Alabama, ahead of tomorrow's Mobile mayoral race, the DNC is also contacting thousands of Mobile voters to rally support behind Democratic candidate State Rep. Barbara Drummond.

Democrats have overperformed in 43 out of 44 key elections this year and have the momentum - and we're just getting started.

• The Democratic National Committee is jumping into Gavin Newsom's redistricting campaign in California for the first time with an initiative to target Latino voters, a crucial voting bloc that helped Republicans make significant gains in California and across the country last year.

• The DNC on Thursday announced a bilingual organizing effort designed to push Latino voters to back Prop 50, the redistricting measure. The organizing team includes 41,000 volunteers to make calls, send texts and knock on doors in English and Spanish.

• "California is home to the most Latino voters in the country, and too often, this core group gets ignored," DNC Chair Ken Martin said in a statement. "It's our job to make sure every Californian knows that this is a chance to even out the playing field after Trump and his Republican enablers tried to rig the Congressional maps to avoid accountability for cutting health care and food assistance for millions of Americans."

• The Democratic National Committee (DNC) announced on Thursday that it will help support California's redistricting ballot measure by directing their organizing team toward mobilization efforts ahead of the November election.

• The DNC said it will employ a 41,000-person volunteer team to encourage Californians to get involved in the election effort.

• These volunteers will be involved in phone banking and canvassing efforts and will reach out to harder-to-reach communities via text messages and phones to promote the ballot measure and get voters to the polls. The effort is aimed in particular at mobilizing Spanish-speaking Californians.

• DNC officials believe Republicans' 'deeply unpopular, extreme agenda' is leaving Alabama families struggling to afford basic necessities, and they're ready to demand change at the ballot box.

• Through the geotargeting and identification of persuadable voters via the DNC's data and analytics team, the DNC's organizing team will send out texts and make calls to thousands of Mobile voters to rally behind Drummond and in hopes that Democrats can claim victory in the mayoral race.
