The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has shared glimpses of his address to the Nation.
In a series of X posts, Shri Modi said;
"महिला आरक्षण का विरोध करके विपक्षी दलों ने संविधान निर्माताओं की भावनाओं का अपमान किया है। देश की नारी शक्ति के स्वाभिमान और आत्मसम्मान पर चोट करने वाले अब माताओं-बहनों और बेटियों के आक्रोश से बच नहीं पाएंगे।"
"नारी शक्ति वंदन अधिनियम से जुड़ा संशोधन भारतवर्ष की नारी को नई उड़ान देने का महायज्ञ था। लेकिन कांग्रेस, TMC, समाजवादी पार्टी और DMK जैसे दलों ने इसकी भ्रूणहत्या कर दी।"
"मुझे व्यक्तिगत तौर पर आशा थी कि महिला आरक्षण को लेकर कांग्रेस अपने पापों का प्रायश्चित करेगी। लेकिन उसने एक बार फिर इस अवसर को खो दिया।"
"नारी शक्ति वंदन अधिनियम के विरोध की एक बड़ी वजह है- परिवारवादी पार्टियों का डर! उन्हें लगता है कि महिलाएं सशक्त हो गईं, तो उनका नेतृत्व खतरे में पड़ जाएगा।"
