College wins national award for training future aviation talent

Stansted Airport College has been recognised as one of the UK's leading aviation training providers after winning a prestigious national industry award.

The college, based at London Stansted and run by Harlow College, picked up the Aviation Professional Training Award at the Aviation Industry Awards UK 2026.

Judges praised the college's close links with aviation employers, industry-focused courses and strong student outcomes, helping young people gain the skills and experience needed for careers in the sector.

Stansted Airport College is the only further education college in the UK located directly on an airport campus. It offers specialist aviation courses and hands-on learning opportunities, giving students the chance to gain industry-relevant qualifications and practical experience while preparing for a wide range of careers across the sector.

Victoria Clayden-Smith, Head of Centre at Stansted Airport College, said:
