City of South Fulton Expands Holiday Lighting in a Major Step Toward Brighter, Connected Corridors

SOUTH FULTON, GA - (December 5, 2025) - This season, the City of South Fulton is delivering its largest holiday lighting expansion to date-282 displays citywide, representing a more than fivefold year-over-year increase made possible through a coordinated, phased approach with Georgia Power and GreyStone Power.

The celebration begins Monday, December 8, with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at City Hall, featuring special guests Santa Claus and a live broadcast by Art Terrell and Davis Broadcasting from Smooth Jazz 101. Residents are invited to gather, count down, and kick off a season that echoes a City on the Rise and its growing momentum and collaboration.

This year's expansion marks a significant milestone in the City's multi-year plan to illuminate key corridors across all seven districts spanning nearly 100 square miles. Working closely with utility partners, staff are addressing power availability, infrastructure limitations, and jurisdictional challenges to ensure every district sees visible progress this season and even greater enhancements in the years ahead.

Resident, visitors, and stakeholders are encouraged to take a drive through the city, support local businesses, capture their favorite displays, and celebrate the season together. With 282 lights glowing citywide, 2025 promises to be a holiday season full of sparkle, harmony, and community pride.
